Need to very strong communicator, ability to interact professionally with the customer, manage to a project schedule and think outside the box.
Candidate will be able to work independently in project data center; will maintain and configure components according to LM and industry best practice; is cognizant of security; will leverage knowledge and experience with wide variety of technologies to help project achieve goals, crucial milestones and requirements; is innovative and able to formulate and deploy technological solutions to complex business problems; will ensure that data center is compliant with any security/customer requirements; knowledge of 3-Tier architecture a plus.
Configuring Solaris servers in the data center to include performance tuning and optimizing the Solaris servers when required.
Solaris 10 operating system.
Oracle 10G RDBMS.
Configuring storage, SAN, CPU and RAM for maximum utilization and performance.
Solid understanding of virtualization.
Installed and configured web-servers, applications, databases and APIs in Unix environment.
